Conflict Minerals Policy:
On August 22, 2012, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) issued the final conflict minerals rule under Section 1502 the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (the “Conflict Minerals Rule”). The Conflict Minerals Rule requires publicly traded companies to report annually the presence of conflict minerals (tin, tungsten, tantalum and gold, or “3TG”) originating in the Democratic Republic of the Congo or adjoining countries (“Covered Countries”).
As a privately held manufacturing company based in Turkey, KT Trims & Accessories is committed to its business partners’ and customers’ obligations under Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act regarding conflict minerals, ensuring that the metals and other minerals that might be found in its products are produced in a socially responsible manner. KT Trims & Accessories does not directly source any of the conflict minerals from mines, smelters or refiners and, therefore, requires the cooperation of its suppliers to seek minerals from sources that do not directly or indirectly contribute to the conflict in the covered countries. KT Trims & Accessories seeks to work with suppliers who will share its commitment in working towards compliance with this policy and reserves the right to request from any supplier at any time such information, certifications, and documentation as it shall deem necessary to monitor or assess compliance.
